How Macias Media transformed event coverage into a full property video for a premier Washington, DC listing

While covering a 2-day coaching retreat hosted on a $3M property along Foxhall Road, our team was approached with a last-minute request: could we turn the b-roll footage we had been capturing into a fully polished real estate listing video?
Thanks to a well-planned production approach and agile team, we delivered a high-end property tour video that met the needs of the listing agent—without ever scheduling a dedicated shoot day.
About the Property
Situated on a tree-lined stretch of Foxhall Road in Washington, DC, this 6-bed, 7.5-bath Tudor Revival was originally built in 1935 and reimagined with a contemporary architectural vision by 3G Architects. With wide-plank white oak flooring, an 18-foot foyer, floor-to-ceiling windows, and seamless indoor-outdoor transitions, it was the ideal canvas for a cinematic real estate film.
Our Production Setup
Despite the fast turnaround, our team was fully equipped to deliver. We had been capturing b-roll for the Dare to Try coaching retreat throughout the weekend and were able to quickly transition into property-focused shooting.
Production Gear Used:
Camera: Canon EOS R5 – full-frame image quality with 10-bit internal recording
Lens: Canon RF 16-35mm f/2.8L – ideal for capturing interiors with minimal distortion
Stabilization: DJI Ronin RS4 – for fluid, handheld walkthroughs and establishing shots

We leveraged ambient natural light and focused on smooth, intentional movement through key areas of the home—prioritizing flow, layout, and detail. We built the final deliverable using a mix of real-time event b-roll, architectural highlights, and a post-production workflow tuned to high-end real estate marketing.
